Celebrate the festive season with free entry to the City of Gold Coast's Carols this weekend at both Coomera and Surfers Paradise with plenty of activities for family and friends.

This year's festivities will include a celebration of song and dance, coupled with food trucks and a special guest from the North Pole.

Deputy Mayor Donna Gates said the inaugural Christmas carols in Coomera will unite the community and enable families to create lasting memories.

"Attendees will be able to live out their Christmas dreams with delicious food, kid friendly shows and incredible performances," Deputy Mayor said.

"I'm thrilled to see the City hold multiple carols events across the Gold Coast and encourage everyone to get out to an event near you."

Councillor Darren Taylor said this year's Carols on the Beach marks a revival of Christmas celebrations at Surfers Paradise due to previous COVID restrictions.

"Come down to the foreshore early as there will be beachfront markets bustling with a unique collection of Christmas goods," said Councillor Taylor.

"We have an all-local cast with Courtney Monsma as the feature performer, best known for her role as Princess Anna in Frozen the Musical. This is an event you don't want to miss."
