- Maintenance works occurring between Enfield West to Macarthur, and Macarthur to Joppa Junction

The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) will carry out a maintenance shutdown of the Southern Highlands network and Southern Sydney Freight Line from Enfield West to Macarthur, and Macarthur to Joppa Junction from Friday 13th January at 2230 until Monday 16th January at 0200.
The shutdown will allow maintenance works to be carried out which will improve the safety, reliability, and resilience of the Southern Highlands network and the Southern Sydney Freight Line.
Bus services will replace passenger services. Passengers should contact NSW TrainLink to check on service status and any alternate transport arrangements. Freight services will be diverted via the Moss Vale to Unanderra line.

ARTC's General Manager Asset Maintenance Services - Interstate, Costas Kokkoni said:
"Maintenance works will be targeted at removing Temporary Speed Restrictions and ensuring that the track condition remains at a high standard.
"Works will include general track maintenance, rerailing, track resurfacing, undercutting, bridge repairs and vegetation management.
"We apologise for any disruption or inconvenience caused and thank the community for their support and patience while these essential works are taking place.
"Freight is an essential service. Regular maintenance works ensures that the Southern Highlands Network's vital supply chain for the economy and jobs can keep moving, as well as keeping our customers, staff, and the community safe.
"While freight and passenger services will be stopped, we continue to ask motorists to remain vigilant and slow down at level crossings during the shutdown as there will be machinery and other movements on the rail line. We remind motorists to stay clear of worksites, particularly those adjacent to roads."
