Engineering STEAM Future For Young Territorians

NT Government

The Finocchiaro CLP Government is continuing to champion the growth of STEAM education and employment in the Northern Territory.

Today's 'Digital Futures' event highlights the NT Government's commitment to building a diverse, modern and skilled Territory workforce. The event brings together Territorians of all ages, from high school students to established professionals, to network, build new skills and explore career pathways across STEAM industries.

Minister for Corporate and Digital Development, Joshua Burgoyne, said Digital Futures is one of the first steps in inspiring young Territorians to pursue STEAM careers.

"This initiative promotes education and innovation right here in the Territory, which helps grow our economy and support many Territory based industries," Mr Burgoyne said.

"Given the rising influence of technology on our lives, it is important to promote the opportunities available in the digital industry."

The NT Government is focused on expanding education and career pathways across the Territory. This ensures young people can build their future locally while contributing to a stronger and more diverse economy. Initiatives like Digital Futures help create clear connections between study, skills and long-term Territory jobs.

Building on last year's success, which attracted more than 200 participants, Digital Futures 2025 promises to be bigger, bolder and more interactive than ever.
