More than 50,000 students will sit a VCE written exam today, with the English and English as an Additional Language written exams being held at 580 examination centres across Victoria.
This year, more than 92,000 students will complete at least one VCE examination including written, oral and performance exams.
English is the VCE subject with the most enrolments, with more than 47,000 students sitting the written examination, while more than 3,000 students are sitting the English as an Additional Language written examination.
VCE Vocational Major students are also completing their final end of year assessments as they prepare to complete their VCE studies this year.
More than 67,000 students are eligible to complete their VCE in 2025, including almost 11,000 VCE Vocational Major students.
This year's key VCE exam numbers include:
- 92,280 students sitting at least one examination
- 110 VCE Subjects with a written exam
- 42 VCE languages with oral examinations
- 580 examination centres
- More than 700 international and Victorian students sitting exams overseas in 13 countries
- Largest examination centre, Bendigo Senior Secondary College (1037 students)
- Smallest examination centre, Cann River P-12 College (3 students).
Throughout the examination period, the VCAA is publishing daily updates at www.vcaa.vic.edu.au that include the examination timetable for the day, key examinations statistics, relevant VCAA contacts for general enquiries and support, and - when required - critical information on any issues that may impact schools or students.
The final examination will take place on 19 November, with students receiving their VCE results on 11 December.
