A major update to the Environmental-Economic Accounts (EEA) Dashboard is now live. Users can now access:
- more comprehensive data
- powerful analytical tools
- improved user experience.
The EEA Dashboard helps us better understand the value of our natural assets. You can use it to explore a range of data about the environment and its contribution to our economy. Developed by Environment Information Australia (EIA), it brings together data from a range of trusted sources, including the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
The updated dashboard provides richer insights through:
- the latest National Ecosystem Accounts
- updated Water and Energy Accounts
- data on land owned or managed by First Nations groups.
Users can now:
- view data for a 10 to 12 year period, enabling more detailed analysis of trends over time
- explore data at a finer landscape scale
- more easily access metadata, source information, definitions and methodological explanations.
EIA updated the dashboard in response to user feedback. Improvements include:
- better navigation
- enhanced search functionality
- clearer explanatory content
- more intuitive maps and charts.
The updated dashboard supports informed decision-making about the environment. It can be applied across government, industry and the community.
