Cardinia Shire Council is seeking expressions of interest from local community groups to plan and coordinate the 2025 community carols by candlelight.
The much-loved annual event, known for celebrating the festive season with a joyful atmosphere, draws around 2,000 attendees each year. The carols by candlelight event will be held in December 2025.
In previous years, the event at Toomuc Recreation Reserve has traditionally featured uplifting Christmas carol performances, pre-performance entertainment, a variety of attractions, and spectacular post-performance fireworks, creating a magical experience for all attendees.
This year, to accommodate different scales of celebration, we are offering two event options. Community groups can apply to host either a large-scale event or a small-scale event.
Community groups are encouraged to submit their expressions of interest to take on the exciting responsibility of organising this cherished event. This is a fantastic opportunity for local organisations to engage with the community, showcase their talents, and make the festive season memorable for residents and visitors.
Expressions of interest are open until 5pm on Friday 13 June 2025.
