Police arrested a man following a collision in Melbourne's CBD this afternoon.
An allegedly stolen black wagon was being driven erratically on Flinders Street, before colliding with another vehicle at the intersection of William Street just before 4.10pm.
There were no injuries, and both vehicles sustained significant damage.
The black wagon then crashed into a traffic light on the opposite side of the road, narrowly missing pedestrians.
The wagon continued before the male driver allegedly jumped out of the moving vehicle.
The vehicle then came to a stop after crashing into a tram stop.
The driver allegedly attempted to steal another car which was parked in a nearby carpark, but he was unsuccessful and tried to flee on foot.
Police arrested the 27-year-old Ardeer man nearby.
He was taken into custody where he will be interviewed.
