Escape from William Head Institution

On July 7, 2019 during the 23:00 count, staff members at William Head Institution, a minimum security federal institution, discovered that Zachary Armitage, and James Lee Busch were not accounted for.

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) contacted the West Shore detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), and a warrant for their arrest has been issued.

Zachary Armitage is 30 years old, measures 5'10" in height and weighs 170 lbs. He has a fair complexion, Brown eyes and black hair. He has a No Love tattoo and a crown on his right arm. He is currently serving a sentence of 13 years 10 months and 4 days, for Robbery, Aggravated assault and other offences.

James Lee Busch is 42 years old, measures 5'9" in height and weighs 179 lbs. He has a medium complexion, brown eyes and a shaved head. He has a skull tattoo on the left forearm. He is currently serving an indeterminate sentence for Second Degree Murder and Assault. He has also served sentences for Aggravated Sexual Assault, Escape Lawful Custody and other offences.

Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of James Lee Busch or Zachary Armitage is asked to contact the police.

CSC will investigate the circumstances of this incident and is working with the police to locate the offender as quickly as possible.

CSC has given the police all of the information available to help arrest the inmate.
