Good afternoon Please find attached the EVC's Vehicle Sales Report for September 2026.
Key Findings:
- Tesla and Polestar recorded combined Battery Electric Vehicle sales* of 5,854 vehicles in September 2026.
- The 3-month average for Tesla and Polestar sales for the September quarter remained strong at 6,199 vehicles.
- A combined 43,386 Tesla and Polestar vehicles have now been sold in 2026 - a 77% increase over the same period last year.
- The Tesla Model Y family accounted for 4,476 sales in September - 76% of all models sold across the Tesla and Polestar range.
- Sales of the Tesla Model 3 increased by 60% compared to last September, with 1178 models delivered (Note: Tesla this week announced a new base-model variant of the Model 3 sedan priced from less than $46,000 before on-road costs).
- On a year-to-date basis, all States and Territories have recorded significant increases in sales ranging from 45.7% to 113.3%.
* Please note that electric vehicle sales are recorded at the point of delivery, rather than when orders are made.
