Everybody Had Go at Portland Skatepark Workshop

The Totem Collective and Lithgow City Council "Learn to Skate" Workshops were a big success at Portland Skatepark on Thursday 27 January.

Totem collective ran workshops suitable for all skill levels, from beginners to intermediate and one to one mentoring classes for intermediate levels. Young people and families enjoyed other activities provided by Barnardo's Australia, including a sausage sizzle, give always and games. Music was provided by DJ Jum Wubble.

A woman, whose daughter was assisting the beginners' workshops, said she was delighted to see activities for young people and children in Portland.

The event created a great atmosphere and opportunities to promote the use of public spaces for the enjoyment of all.
