May 23, 2019, Sydney: RoZetta, Australian provider of the world’s leading Industrial PhD program, has announced the appointment of Peter Clare as Managing Director.
‘RoZetta is arguably the best-kept secret in data science. It’s a real Australian success story,’ said Clare. ‘The historic output across the group has been extraordinary. Not only have we developed technology that has fundamentally transformed the way global markets operate, but the way we are able to channel rigorous research to answer specific industry questions and unlock investment opportunities lets us deliver meaningful, ongoing value to people, businesses and the broader economy.’
With deep capabilities across capital markets, health, energy and digital finance, the Industrial PhD program provided by the not-for-profit RoZetta Institute underpins the technology-development and managed-services offerings, and investment and incubator services of RoZetta Ventures.
‘There are other industrial research organisations out there, just as there are other tech companies and start-up incubators. But thanks to our unique way of collaborating with industry and university partners, only RoZetta can apply the world-class research element across all areas,’ said Clare.
‘That’s why one of our partners has called us their data science my ‘Formula One team’ – our performance levels and ability to drive insights and improvement are second to none.’
Clare is a highly experienced senior executive with an active interest in technology and innovation. A Director of RoZetta Ventures (formerly Capital Markets Technologies) since 2016, he also holds a number of non-executive director positions with Cooperative Research Centre entities, private equity investments and independent companies.
He was previously Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for Westpac in New Zealand and held Group Executive roles at Westpac, Commonwealth and St. George Banks. His background also includes Insolvency Accounting and Management Consulting.
