The Tasmanian Liberal Government is delivering on its record investment in infrastructure, with the $11 million redevelopment of Exeter High School now complete.
Minister for Education, Jo Palmer, said the major upgrades include new contemporary learning areas and improved outdoor facilities, ensuring Tasmanian schools are equipped to meet the needs of students now and into the future.
"When we invest in high-quality, well-designed spaces, we are investing directly in teaching, in learning, and in the engagement and wellbeing of every student who walks through these doors," Minister Palmer said.
"The new building work supports the growing communities within the school's catchment area, to ensure that Exeter High School continues to meet their needs.
"This transformation has been made possible thanks to the inspired design by local firm Morrison and Breytenbach Architects and the exceptional work of Tas City Building in bringing that vision to life."
The upgraded facilities include redeveloped Years 7-8 and 9-10 learning hubs, new outdoor breakout areas, refurbished student bathrooms, a new outdoor courtyard beside the library, an upgraded kitchen, a new bus shelter, and replacement of paved areas.
"Our Government is building the future of Tasmanian students, which is why we're investing $188 million to deliver major upgrades for 15 schools across the State," Minister Palmer said.
