Experts Share Knowledge in New Opportunity

Sport Integrity Australia

Sport Integrity Australia and the Basketball Australia integrity team spent a day together last week to share sport integrity insights and key integrity issues relevant to basketball.

"Opportunities like these are an important step in building partnerships," Sport Integrity Australia's Director of Sport Partnerships Linda Muir said. "Providing access to our subject matter experts helps to ensure sports receive the advice and support they need to protect the health and safety of their athletes and the integrity of their sport."

Operating under the Integrity Policy Standards and therefore self-managing complaints internally, Basketball Australia were able to chat to Sport Integrity Australia's subject matter experts, not only with the Integrity Complaints team, but also the anti-doping, intelligence, education, and sports wagering/competition manipulation teams.

"The visit by Basketball Australia's Integrity team to Sport Integrity Australia was an excellent opportunity for us to collaborate, share experiences, and learn from various experts in their fields," said Damien Morris, Basketball Australia's Head of Integrity.

"Our team will draw on the extensive support Sport Integrity Australia offer to ensure we continue to protect the sport."

We are looking forward to similar opportunities with other sports.
