Ballarat Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following an explosion at a power station in Warrenheip early this morning.
It is believed two unknown men attended the power station on Coulsons Road in a dark coloured hatchback or SUV about 1.50am.
They used bolt cutters to gain entry to the yard and once inside caused damage to equipment worth $60,000 and resulting in an explosion.
The offenders fled the scene and investigators believe the offenders may have received injuries in relation to the incident.
