Expressions of Interest for SRLX now open

Wingecarribee Shire

SRLX

Wingecarribee Shire Council is calling on Expressions of Interest (EOI) from interested parties to lease and operate the Southern Regional Livestock Exchange (SRLX).

Located on Berrima Road in Moss Vale the SRLX is currently undergoing a $5.2 million upgrade and boasts an output of approximately 56,000 head of cattle per year.

The Expression of Interest (EOI) is for the lease, maintenance and ongoing operation of the SRLX.

The EOI is subject to the condition that the facility must continue to function as an ongoing commercial operation in Moss Vale at its existing location.

The EOI follows Council's 'Fit for the Future Improvement Proposal' and Service Delivery Review into the facility which identified multiple possible management structure options including a lease arrangement.

The term of the proposed lease will be subject to responses to the EOI but is likely to be a 10-year term with an option for a further 10-year extension.

Interested persons or parties wishing to submit an EOI should include sufficient details as to their proposed management of the livestock exchange.
