Taskforce Falcon detectives have charged two males for their alleged involvement in the stabbing of a man in Guildford earlier this year.
About 8am on Tuesday 24 June 2025, emergency services were called to Eve Street in Guildford, following reports of a stabbing.
Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command arrived to find a 62-year-old man had been stabbed in the leg after being approached by a group of unknown people who then left the scene in an SUV.
The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital in a stable condition.
Police established a crime scene and the matter was referred to Taskforce Falcon detectives.
Taskforce Falcon is led by State Crime Command, with the NSW Crime Commission, to investigate and suppress violent crime in the Sydney metropolitan area.
Three people have previously been charged with their involvement in the stabbing and remain before the courts.
Following further extensive inquiries – including a public appeal for information – about 6.15am on Thursday 30 October 2025, strike force detectives executed a search warrant in Merrylands where they arrested a 17-year-old male.
During the search, police located electronics and two machetes unrelated to the stabbing.
The teenager was taken to Granville Police Station, where he was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and assault person intend criminal activity of criminal group.
About 6.40am, strike force detectives executed a search warrant in Lidcombe where they arrested an 18-year-old man.
He was taken to Auburn Police Station, where he was also charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and assault person intend criminal activity of criminal group.
Both were refused bail and appeared in a children's court the same day.
