The Northern Territory Police Force is currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred overnight in Pinelands.
Around 1:30am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports that a vehicle had collided with a tree along the outbound lanes of Tiger Brennan Drive between Tivendale Road and Marjorie Street.
The Northern Territory Police Force, St John Ambulance and Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene, and the adult male driver was declared deceased. The man is yet to be formally identified.
The inbound and outbound lanes of Tiger Brennan Drive between Tivendale Road and the Stuart Highway/Roystonea Avenue overpass are currently closed with traffic being diverted along the Stuart Highway.
Motorists are advised to expect delays throughout the morning and to follow all directions.
