Police can advise one person has died following a crash on Skeet Road near Manaia Road, Kapuni, South Taranaki this morning.
The two-vehicle happened just before 11.30am.
Alongside the person who died, a second person suffered moderate injuries and was taken to hospital.
The road is still closed and motorists are advised to take an alternative route.
The Serious Crash Unit are attending.
