As part of its ongoing commitment to modernizing border infrastructure, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is pleased to announce that construction is now underway at the Pleasant Camp port of entry.
Located in the Stikine region of northwestern British Columbia, the Pleasant Camp port of entry provides traveller and commercial services, seven days a week from 8 a.m. to midnight.
The port will remain open throughout construction, and services will continue without interruption.
The redesigned port of entry has been tailored to meet the needs of a remote area border-crossing and will feature:
- improved functional space, to better support border services officers and day-to-day operations
- a new inspection booth capable of processing both travellers and commercial vehicles.
In April 2026, following an open, transparent and competitive procurement process, a contract valued at $11.9 million was awarded to Yellowridge Construction Ltd to carry out the work. Public Services and Procurement Canada led the competitive procurement process and will manage the project on behalf of the CBSA. Construction is expected to be completed in 2027. Updated timelines will be communicated as needed.
The Pleasant Camp redevelopment is part of the Land Border Crossing Project, which is renewing and upgrading a number of Canadian land ports of entry across the country.
