Fatal crash in Kempsey

A woman has died after a crash in the Kempsey area yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 8.50am yesterday, emergency services were called to Armidale Road, Skillion Flat, about 16km west of Kempsey, following reports of a crash.

Officers from Mid North Coast Local Area Command attended and found a Toyota Avensis had rolled at the location.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and treated the driver, a 75-year-old woman, who was taken to Kempsey Hospital. She later died.

A 13-year-old girl, who had been travelling as a passenger, was taken to Kempsey Hospital and treated for a broken arm.

A 17-year-old girl, who had been travelling as a passenger, did not sustain any serious injuries.

Inquiries into the crash are continuing.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
