Fatal Crash: Police Respond in Central Queensland

Forensic crash officers are investigating a fatal traffic crash at Frankfield, 90km north of Clermont, this morning, 28 May.

Initial investigations indicate around 2.15am, a white Mazda BT-50 collided head-on with a white Volvo prime mover on Gregory Developmental Road.

The driver of the utility, a 44-year-old Charters Towers man, was declared deceased at the scene.

The 34-year-old man driving the truck was not injured.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing and any witnesses are urged to come forward.
