Fatal Fire Investigation At Spring Hill

Police are investigating a fatal fire at a unit complex at Spring Hill overnight, 16 December.

Emergency services were initially called to Water Street address around 3am following reports one of the units in the complex was fully engulfed.

A 47-year-old West End man was initially transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with serious burns but has since passed away from their injuries.

A 19-year-old Spring Hill woman was also transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, and remains in a critical condition.

A 55-year-old Spring Hill man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with minor burns.

Investigators are currently treating the fire as non-suspicious and have no reason to believe there are any outstanding persons in relation to this matter.
