Fatal motorbike crash near Greenacre

A motorcyclist has died after a single-vehicle crash in Sydney's southwest this morning.

About 2am (Saturday 23 July 2022), emergency services responded to reports that a motorcyclist travelling west bound on the Hume Highway, Chullora, had crashed into a power pole.

The rider – a 19-year-old man – died at the scene.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command secured a crime scene, which was forensically examined.

As inquiries continue into the incident, police are urging any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage who has not yet come forward to contact Bankstown Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
