An investigation is underway after a man died following an alleged stabbing in the state's west overnight.
Just after 11.50pm (Thursday 5 June 2025), emergency services were called to a home on Duff Street, Broken Hill, following reports of a concern for welfare.
On arrival, officers attached to Barrier Police District located a man – believed to be aged in his 40s – with stab wounds to his neck.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he could not be revived.
The man is yet to be formally identified.
A crime scene has been established and officers attached to Barrier Police District, with the assistance from officers attached to State Crime Command's Homicide Squad, commenced an investigation into the incident.
