Fatal Traffic Crash Appeal in East Greenmount

Police continue to seek witnesses to a fatal traffic crash at East Greenmount last month.

At 6.00am on Tuesday 14 April, a white Toyota Landcruiser travelling north along the New England Highway collided with a grey Mitsubishi Outlander travelling in the opposite direction.

The male driver of the Mitsubishi, a 38-year-old Mungindi man, died at the scene while the female passenger suffered critical injuries and remains in hospital.

The 41-year-old man driving the Landcruiser was uninjured.

Investigations indicate there may have been a vehicle travelling directly behind the Landcruiser shortly before the crash.

Whilst that vehicle was not involved in the incident, investigators are keen to speak with the driver or anyone else who may have any information which could assist with the ongoing investigation.
