Detectives from the Moreton District Criminal Investigation Branch and Homicide Investigation Unit continue to investigate a fatal traffic incident on the Bruce Highway at Burpengary last week.
As part of these ongoing investigations into the circumstances, a search warrant was executed at a Redcliffe address on Friday, 20 February, where it will be alleged stolen property and a firearm linked to the stolen white flat-bed Hino truck involved in the incident on Tuesday night were seized.
Two men, a 49-year-old and 36-year-old, both from Redcliffe have been charged man with enter premises, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and weapons offences are assisting police with their inquiries.
They are expected to appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on 16 March 2026 and continue to assist police with their enquiries.
Detectives have identified all vehicles involved in the incident and a number of people are assisting police with their inquiries.
Investigators would again like to thank the community for their assistance to date and are continuing to encourage anyone with information or those with footage, who have not yet come forward, to contact police.
The driver of the stolen flat-bed Hino truck involved remains in a critical condition.
