The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating at fatal single vehicle traffic crash which occurred at Kumbarilla near Tara this morning, Queensland Police say.
Preliminary investigations indicate police were notified just before 11am a sedan was travelling along Moonie Highway south west of intersection with Surat-Development Road when it left the roadway and struck a tree.
The male driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A female passenger has been airlifted to hospital.
Anyone who may have seen the crash is urged to contact police.
