Fatal traffic crash at Stanmore, QLD

Police are investigating after a fatal traffic crash at Stanmore yesterday afternoon (December 12), Queensland Police say.

Initial investigations indicate at about 4.10pm, a man riding a motorcycle north along Kilcoy-Beerwah Road has collided with a vehicle at the intersection with Woodrow Road.

The 19-year-old rider received life-threatening injuries as the result of the crash and was transported by rescue helicopter to the Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
