Fatal traffic crash in Currumbin Valley, QLD

A man has died in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Currumbin Valley this morning.

Preliminary inquiries indicate at 6.30am a car was heading south on Tallebudgera Connection Road and collided with a 4WD headed east on Currumbin Creek Road.

The driver of the car, an 81-year-old Gold Coast man, died at the scene. A 75-year-old female passenger in the car was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the other car, a 39-year-old woman, was also transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Forensics Crash Unit is investigating.
