Fatal Traffic Crash in Far North Queensland

Forensic crash officers are investigating a fatal single-vehicle traffic crash that occurred at Kimberley, near the Daintree Ferry crossing, this evening, 2 February.

Police and emergency services were notified at 6.36pm that a white Toyota Hilux utility had collided with an embankment and rolled onto its roof on Cape Tribulation Road.

The driver and sole occupant, a 43-year-old woman, was declared deceased at the scene.

Investigations are being made to determine the cause of the crash.
