Fatal Traffic Crash: Police Respond in Collinsville

Forensic Crash Unit officers are investigating a fatal traffic crash at Springlands today, 10 September.

Around 12.30pm, emergency services were called to a two-vehicle traffic crash on Peter Delemothe Road between Strathalbyn and Strathmore Roads.

Initial investigations indicate a Silver Mazda 2 was travelling west when it has collided with a white Toyota Hilux, travelling in the opposite direction.

The male driver of the Mazda, a 63-year-old Collinsville man, and his passenger, a 61-year-old Collinsville woman, died at the scene.

The male driver of the Toyota was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with further information or relevant footage to contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.
