Emergency services are on the scene of a fatal truck crash that occurred on the state's south coast this morning.
About 8am (Wednesday 10 June 2026), emergency services were called to the Princes Highway, near Mortimer Road, Falls Creek, about 12km south of Nowra, after reports of a crash.
Officers attached to South Coast Police District attended and found that a truck and car had collided blocking the highway.
Both the driver and passenger of the car died at the scene.
They are yet to be formally identified.
The driver of the truck was trapped in the vehicle before being freed by emergency services.
He was assessed at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to hospital in a serious condition.
Police have established a crime scene and officers attached to Crash Investigation Unit will commence an investigation into the cause of the crash.
