The pedestrian bridge over Cold Tea Creek on the Fernleigh Track will be temporarily closed to allow for restoration works being carried out by Interflow for Hunter Water.
Steel works and formwork will be installed on Tuesday 31 March, followed by a concrete pour on Wednesday 1 April.
The track will be closed from 7am Wednesday 1 April until 7am Thursday 2 April, between the Beach Street entry and Brandt Close entry at Belmont South, to allow the concrete to cure.
A security guard and two traffic controllers will be onsite during the evening to help prevent entry to the work area.
Council thanks the community for their patience while these essential maintenance works are completed.
