After a two-year pandemic forced hiatus, Carols by Kingston is back with a bang in 2022.
Tenor and composer David Hobson and the sensational Isaiah Firebrace are set to headline the event that will feature a line-up of familiar crowd favourites. They will be supported by the Australian Girls Choir and the Mordialloc Jazz Orchestra.
Along with on stage performances, the family-friendly event will also see the return of the very popular Santa's Workshop Kids Zone, with a selection of free activities, including Christmas craft, face painting and photos with Santa, alongside amusement rides.
Add in a wide variety of food vendors, the Edithvale Fire Brigade barbecue, and a spectacular fireworks display, and it promises to be a terrific night of festive cheer.
Kingston Mayor Hadi Saab said Council is proud to provide opportunities for our local residents and visitors to wind down, connect and support one another.
"Carols by Kingston is a great opportunity to get together with family and friends before the holidays and get into the spirit of the season," Cr Saab said.
"Carols has proven extremely popular in the past and on the back of the challenges of the past couple of years we would love to see a big crowd of big voices and goodwill.
"This time of the year is all about fun, family and togetherness and what better way to kick it off than with a visit to Carols by Kingston."
LED candles will be on sale on the night, with all proceeds going to local charities via the Kingston Charitable Fund.
Carols by Kingston is a free event, however a limited number of reserve seating spaces are still available for $20 via Eventbrite.
Carols by Kingston is being held at Bicentennial Park in Chelsea on Sunday 11 December from 6.30pm - 10pm.
