Today Treasurers from around Australia converged on Melbourne for a Council on Federal Financial Relations (CFFR) meeting.
The meeting followed Mondays announcement from Scott Morrison that the Commonwealth Government will adopt a new GST distribution scheme.
As noted by Treasurer Nicole Manison
My priority is to ensure we get our fair share of GST funding so we can continue investing in jobs, schools, police and hospitals.
The Territory is already facing devastating GST cuts and the Commonwealth Government is yet to provide any reassurance that these cuts wont deepen in the future.
We will fight for every GST cent we deserve we will not accept anything less.
The CLP needs to stand with us and fight for the Territory.
