Final upgrades and temporary closure at Ginger Leigh Playground

Old Playground at Ginger Leigh

The final stage of upgrades for Bombala's Ginger Leigh playground get underway Tuesday 29 November 2022, with the installation of the new play equipment and safety ground covering.

Ginger Leigh will be closed from Tuesday 29 November for approximately 1.5 weeks while works are underway.

Thanks to funding received under the Australian Government's Drought Communities Programme (DCP) Extension and Council's own Bombala Reserve Fund, this playground and the surrounding area has seen a major overhaul and revitalisation including:

  • additional BBQ in the gazebo
  • ·new bins
  • enhanced lighting
  • refreshed landscaping and vegetation
  • upgrades to the carpark and road
  • a playground boundary fence
  • learner bike track
  • playground equipment
  • tables
  • installation of unisex all abilities toilet with change room

We appreciate the community's patience while these necessary upgrades are performed and exciting new additions are constructed

Council is grateful for the support and advice of our Ginger Leigh Project Advisory Committee throughout this project.
