Financial Literacy Workshop For Young People: Bayside

Bayside Libraries is empowering the next generation with essential life skills, hosting two dynamic financial literacy workshops this April designed to build confidence and capability in managing money.

Focused on real-world knowledge, these engaging sessions will cover the fundamentals of financial literacy, from smart saving strategies and budgeting basics to planning ahead for future goals, giving young people the tools they need to make informed financial decisions.

Delivered by an expert speaker from the Financial Advice Association Australia, the workshops are tailored for students in Years 10-12, while also welcoming parents and caregivers who want to support positive financial habits at home.

The workshops will take place at Rockdale Library on 20 April 2026 and Eastgardens Library on 22 April 2026, with each session running from 4:00pm to 5:30pm.

These practical and informative sessions are a fantastic opportunity for young people across Bayside to gain confidence with money, ask questions, and start building strong financial foundations for the future.
