Selecting your location on the Bureau website homepage helps you access your local weather map, 7-day forecast and all the latest weather observations from one page.
How to add a favourite location
When you arrive on the home page, select 'Use my current location' or use the favourites (star) icon at the top right of your screen to search for your location.
Once your location page has loaded, you can use the star icon to add or remove the location as a favourite. The star is filled in when the location is a favourite, and an outline when it's not.
You can save an unlimited number of favourite locations for quick access.
Links to your favourite locations are found under the 7-day forecast on your location homepage, or below the capital city overview if that is your preferred homepage view. Select a location from the list to access detailed weather information at that place.
Cookies
To save your favourite locations, we use cookies. If your favourite locations aren't being saved, you may need to change your browser's site data or cookie settings.
You will need to repeat the steps above on each device you use to access the website. If you clear your browser cookies, you will need to reset your saved locations.
