Fine Food Awards promote excellence in food industry

Jo Palmer, Minister for Primary Industries and Water

The Royal Agricultural Society of Tasmania's annual Royal Tasmanian Fine Food Awards has put a spotlight on the State's best produce.

The Fine Food Awards helps promote and encourage excellence in the Australian food industry.

The Tasmanian Liberal Government is proud to sponsor the awards, and as Minister for Primary Industries and Water, I'd like to congratulate all award winners.

A special congratulations to Daly Potato Co for winning the Minister's Encouragement Award for their Potato and Gravy. As the award's sponsor, I'll be sure to do my due diligence and have a taste test.

Congratulations also goes to Hazelbrea, with their Hazelnut Oil winning the Richard Langdon Trophy for Best Exhibit.

I would also like to acknowledge Mark Brew for winning the Tasmania Award. This award goes to an individual for outstanding service to the Tasmanian wine industry.

These awards recognise the fine foods, beverages and amazing producers in our State, something all Tasmanians can be incredibly proud of.

And a special thanks to the Royal Agricultural Society of Tasmania for their ongoing support and leadership in showcasing fine Tasmanian food and wines.
