Finley Hospital Redevelopment Breaks Ground in NSW

Construction is underway on the $25 million Finley Hospital Redevelopment, marking a significant milestone in the delivery of enhanced health services for Finley and surrounding communities.

The redevelopment will deliver an improved patient-focused health service and enhanced models of care across all existing services.

Health staff and community members today joined representatives from the project team on site to celebrate the start of works, which included planting a tree to commemorate the key milestone.

The Finley Hospital Redevelopment will include:

  • new inpatient rooms
  • a relocated medical imaging unit and a new ultrasound service
  • an expanded and reconfigured reception area
  • improvements to the Emergency Department
  • essential service upgrades, including IT to provide a better-connected health service
  • improvements to staff facilities.

The redevelopment has been informed by extensive feedback and consultation with health professionals, staff, patients, Aboriginal community representatives and the Local Health Advisory Committee.

The project is expected to be completed in 2027.
