The A/Chief Fire Control Officer, Bushfires NT and the Chief Fire Officer, NT Fire and Rescue Service have declared a 24-HOUR FIRE BAN PERIOD for Tuesday 23 September for the following areas:
DARWIN AND ADELAIDE RIVER FIRE WEATHER FORECAST AREAS, including DARWIN, PALMERSRON, LITCHFIELD and COOMALIE.BARKLY NORTH FIRE WEATHER FORECAST AREAS, including ELLIOTT, NEWCASTLE WATERS, BARKLY HOMESTEAD and RANKEN.BARKLY SOUTH FIRE WEATHER FORECAST AREAS including TENNANT CREEK, THREEWAYS, ALI CURUNG.
The Fire Ban is declared for a 24-hour period commencing at 0000 hours on Tuesday 23 September 2025.
No person shall light a fire or cause a fire to be lit in the open in the portion of the Northern Territory within the fire ban areas.
The fire ban is valid from midnight to midnight.
