Firearm discharge – Claremont, TAS

Approximately 2.15pm on Sunday 23rd October 2016 police attended a report of a firearm being discharged in Box Hill Road at Claremont.  Two cars, a red sedan and a silver sedan, were seen leaving Box Hill Road at about that time.  Police believe the occupants of these cars may be able to further assist investigators with identifying the people responsible, Tasmania Police say.

There was damage caused to a fence near a house but no one was injured.

The motive for the firearm discharge is not known although police believe the people involved are known to one another.

Detectives and Forensic Police are in attendance and investigations are continuing.
