Firearm discharged at Salisbury Downs, SA

Police are investigating an incident at Salisbury Downs this morning where a gun was discharged, according to SA Police.

Police and paramedics were called to Martins Road, Salisbury Downs just after 6.15am on Friday 24 August by reports of a shooting incident.

A male sustained an minor injury to his arm and was taken to the Lyell McEwin Hospital. His injury is not life-threatening.

The investigation is in its early stages, but it appears to have arisen from an altercation at the property earlier in the morning, about 1am. The people involved then returned to the address just after 6am and a shot was discharged.

Police wish to reassure the local community that this is not a random incident.
