Firearm Offence Charges At Dalby

Police have charged a 12-year-old boy following reports of a firearm being discharged in Dalby last night, 11 April.

At 6.42pm police were called to Nicholson Street after a number of people reported hearing what were believed to be gunshots.

During a search of a Nicholson Street property, police will allege two firearms and quantities of cannabis were located.

A 12-year-old Dalby boy has been charged with one count each of possess shortened firearms, unlawful possession of weapons, and possessing dangerous drugs.

He is due to appear before Dalby Childrens Court on Monday, 13 April.

No one was physically injured and there is no ongoing threat to the community.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who has relevant vision to contact them.

Investigations are ongoing.
