Firearms stolen in Warrnambool burglary

Detectives from Warrnambool Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for information following a burglary in Warrnambool.

Investigators have been told a premises on Moonah Street was broken into sometime between 2.45pm and 6pm on Monday 9 August.

Once inside the offenders have searched every room and stolen jewellery, cash, bank cards and identification documents.

The offenders have stolen four firearms, including three shot guns and a rimfire rifle, from a firearm safe and left the property.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who was in the vicinity of Moonah Street between 3pm and 6pm on Monday and who may have seen anything suspicious or with dashcam footage to contact police.
