Fires at Telecommunication Sites Arrest, WA

In November 2016, Arson Squad detectives sought the public’s assistance for information regarding deliberate fires at telecommunication sites.

As a result of an extensive investigation and information received, Arson Squad detectives charged a 28 year old man today, 5 May 2017, WA Police say.

It will be alleged between July and September 2016, then man broke into various telecommunications sites in Malaga, Morley and Dianella.

The cumulative value of the damage is estimated at $450,000.

The man from Noranda has been charged with:--

•Seven counts of Criminal Damage by Fire;

•Seven counts of Burglary and

•One count of Criminal Damage.

He is due to appear before the Midland Magistrates Court on 12 May 2017
