First Nation election policies

CPSU

We’ve received a lot of positive feedback on our policy comparison documents of the major parties.

Parties have also announced First Nation election polices and ANTaR has compiled a summary of them.

ANTaR is an advocacy organisation dedicated to the rights, and overcoming disadvantage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

With the Federal election coming up it has done an election scorecard split up by 4 criteria that you can view here. A summary of the scorecard is below.

The ALP makes specific mention of removing the CDP scheme and cashless debit card as well as having a clear target for First Nation employees to make up 5% of the Public Service, whereas it is currently around 3.5%.

The full ALP policy can be viewed here. The Liberal party does not have a First Nation policy as part of their election policies published on their Election Policy webpage.
