Water police have recovered the body of a man in the water at the Port of Brisbane late yesterday afternoon.
It is believed the 53-year-old Brisbane man was trying to cross the Brisbane River in a small tender.
Investigations are continuing to establish the man's movements, as he was last seen by a friend on Monday, February 28, at Colmslie Reserve.
The man was reported missing to police yesterday (March 3).
A crew member of a bulk carrier berthed at the Port of Brisbane observed the deceased in the water and contacted police around 5.15pm yesterday.
Investigations are continuing.
