MINOR FLOODING CONTINUING AT NITMILUK CENTRE
Minor flooding is continuing along the Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre and renewed rises are possible with forecast rainfall. Minor flooding has eased at the Katherine River Bridge.
A Flood Watch is current for parts of the Top End, which includes the Katherine River.
Katherine River Gorge Road:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Katherine River at Nitmiluk.
The Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre is currently at 3.50 m and falling, with minor flooding. The Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre is likely to remain above the minor flood level (3.00 m) for the remainder of Friday into Saturday. Renewed rises are possible with forecast rain.
Katherine Town:
Minor flooding has eased at Katherine Town.
The Katherine River at Katherine Bridge is currently at 14.19 m and falling, below the minor flood level. The Katherine River at Katherine Bridge is expected to remain below the minor flood level (16.00 m).
