ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC:
MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT BESWICK BRIDGE
River levels along the Waterhouse River are continuing to slowly fall though further rainfall is expected for the next few days, which may cause renewed river level rises. With renewed rises, Beswick Bridge may reach around the minor flood level overnight Monday into Tuesday.
Widespread heavy falls are unlikely, but isolated heavier falls remain possible for the next few days. The situation is being closely monitored and the warning will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for parts of the Top End.
Waterhouse River:
Minor flooding is possible along the Waterhouse River.
The Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge is currently at 7.34 m and falling, below the minor flood level. With forecast rainfall, the Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge may have renewed rises to around the minor flood level (7.70 m) overnight Monday into Tuesday. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.
Roper River below Elsey Creek:
River levels are elevated throughout the Roper River catchment.
